Helping children, women and families live better lives, and showing exactly how.
We fund reconstruction, education, health and direct support for children, women, single mothers and parents, and the charities that serve them. We are pre-launch and building in the open: no impact numbers we haven't earned, and every gift traceable to the last shilling.
Who we help
The people our work is built around.
Children
School, safety and health for children whose families cannot carry the cost alone.
Women
Support that restores income, health and independence, decided with them, not for them.
Single mothers & parents
Households holding everything together on one income, one pair of hands.
Charities & foundations
Small organisations already doing the work, held back by funding and systems.
What we fund
Four focus areas, chosen because they compound.
Reconstruction
Rebuilding homes, schools and clinics so families can start again on solid ground.
Education
Fees, materials and safe places to learn. The gift that keeps yielding for decades.
Health
Treatment and preventive care for people who would otherwise go without it.
Direct funding
Unrestricted money to households and partner charities who know what they need.
How giving works
One unbroken line from your hand to theirs.
Verification isn't back-office plumbing we keep to ourselves. It is the product. Every gift moves through the same four steps, and every step leaves a record you can ask to see.
Give
You choose a focus area or leave it to us. The gift is logged with a reference the moment it arrives.
Verify
The need is checked in person before a shilling moves: the household, the school, the partner charity.
Deliver
Funds, materials or care reach the person named in the record: dated, receipted, witnessed.
Reconcile
Given, delivered and spent are matched line by line. What doesn't reconcile gets explained, not buried.
Sadaqah, sadaqah jariyah, zakat
Three kinds of giving, and where our name comes from.
All three are welcome here. We are named for the third because it is the one that keeps giving after the giver has gone.
Sadaqah
Voluntary charity, any amount, any time. It meets a need today: food, fees, a medical bill.
Immediate relief
Sadaqah jariyah
Ongoing charity: a well, a classroom, a skill taught. The benefit continues long after the gift is made.
Our thesis
Zakat
The obligatory annual share of wealth, with strict rules on who may receive it. We ringfence it accordingly.
Held separately
Mission
Every gift traceable from the giver to the ground.
We exist to help children, women, single mothers and parents, and the charities that serve them live better lives through reconstruction, education, health and direct funding, with every shilling verified on the way in and reconciled on the way out.

Our goals
About us
Started because good intentions were not reaching the ground.
Where we came from
Sadaqah Jariyah was started by our team because there was not enough help actually making a difference in people's lives. Money was being given; too little of it was arriving, and almost none of it could be followed. We decided to build the opposite, one donation at a time, each one accounted for.
Equivalent Exchange
Our philosophy: what is given must equal what arrives. Every gift is traceable, verified before it moves and reconciled after it lands. If we cannot show where something went, we treat that as a failure, not a rounding error.
Where we are today
We are pre-launch. Registered charity status is in progress, our first partnerships are being formed, and we are inviting founding members to help set the standard we will be held to.
Honest note: we have no impact numbers to show yet. When we do, they will be verified ones.
Founding members set the standard we're held to.
Our pledge to you: no fabricated numbers, no unexplained gaps, and a reconciled record of every gift, from the first one.
Partners
We're pre-launch, so these slots are honestly empty. They belong to the first charities, mosques and businesses who build this with us.
Questions
The things people ask us first.
Not yet. Registration is in progress and we say so everywhere rather than implying otherwise. Founding members will be told the moment status is granted.
We are not collecting donations through this site yet. Write to us and we'll bring you in as a founding member so you're first to know when giving opens.
Every gift gets a reference. The need behind it is verified in person, delivery is receipted and dated, and the two are reconciled against each other. You can ask for the record of any gift you made.
Yes. Held separately from other funds and distributed only to eligible recipients under the rules of zakat, with the same verification and reconciliation applied.
We are based in Kampala and are forming our first partnerships with local charities, schools and clinics. If you run one, we'd like to hear from you.
